If you’re wondering how many cod skins are in an 8 ounce box, mine had 14. You’ll get a strong whiff of fish when you open them, but they didn’t smell when he was chowing down.These are definitely a treat (nice healthy one) and not a chew. My medium sized dog finished one in two minutes flat. I even timed it.
?PAWUP Cod Dog TreatIf my dog were writing this, she'd give these treats an "all paws up" 100 star rating if she could! We're not going to talk about the smell because it is cod. It stinks. My dogs like it because it stinks so good.At $16 for this big batch of cod treats, it's a great value in my opinion. Heck, I'd pay someone $10 just to dehydrate these into the crunchy sticks for my dogs so my kitchen didn't smell like a fish market for the next month.They are crunchy. They will leave bits of dried cod skin on your floor. The noises your dogs make while enjoying these treats will rival the snoring and teeth sucking your spouse does after eating a big bucket of chicken wings.Your dogs will fetch your socks and learn to talk for this crunchy, fishy goodness. The treats were surprisingly thick and you can't break them in half easily (I tried and now my keyboard smells like cod). A star off because these are definitely only for the big chewers in your life. Not for the ones who only eat wet kibble. Plus, they are super duper messy. Hence, the humans have deemed them an outside treat. Where the birds swoop in and scoop up any leftovers on the deck. Awesome.Overall, yeah, these are worth it. my lil girl loves these cod treats... don't get me wrong she loves her bully sticks but she's CRAZY for these and tho they do not last as long as a bully for her they are just as yummy and cheaper .... ooohhhh fyi make sure you have your pet eat these on a special mat, blanket or place because these cod skins flake and are very messy.
So I actually ordered the ones that were supposed to be cod skin wrapped in chicken. That is not what arrived. I got the plain cod skins. So I wish I got what I ordered but decided to keep them. These definitely have a strong fish odor but my dog loved it and ate it right up. They don't last very long chewing wise. For reference I have a large Labrador Retriever.
